Not going so far as to approve a vote of support, the Lyon County Board of Commissioners by a split vote agreed to support whatever ruling of the Nevada State Engineer on applications to bring imported water from the Gerlach area to Lyon and Storey counties, including Fernley, Silver Springs and Dayton areas.
An initial motion to send a nonbinding recommendation of support for one of the water transfer applications failed by a 3-2 vote during last Thursday's commission meeting...
