2008 Green Summit set for Sept. 20

The City of Reno will be hosting its second Green Summit on September 20, 2008, from 1-5 p.m. in the Joe Crowley Student Union of the University of Nevada, Reno. The event will be a report back to the community on progress made on green initiatives and a dialogue on future direction. The keynote speaker will be the former mayor of Salt Lake City and a national leader in sustainability, the Honorable Rocky Anderson.
Breakout sessions with local experts will include: Alternative Transportation, Green Building/ Sierra Green Guidelines, the Youth City Council, and Single Stream Recycling and Plastic Bag Bans.
