City of Sparks, Nevada

The city of Sparks has 81,673 residents, making it the fifth largest municipality in Nevada. It is located in the Truckee Meadows between the Carson and Virginia Mountain Ranges at an elevation of nearly 4500 feet. The city shares a beautiful valley on the eastern slope of the Sierra with our neighbor to the west, Reno. The climate is mild, with lots of sun, low humidity and rainfall and a full four seasons.

City of Reno, Nevada

Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada, and "The Biggest Little City in the World". It is located in the southern part of Washoe County, northeast of Lake Tahoe, and nestled on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in an area called the Truckee Meadows.

The Truckee River runs right through downtown Reno. It is the major source of water in the region, and provides many services to the community, such as potable water, recreational, irrigation, fish habitat, and much more to the community. The City of Reno is one of the large MS4 NPDES permit holders in the Truckee Meadows, and coordinates the Truckee Meadows regional stormwater coordination committee.
