Truckee River Coordinated Monitoring Program

An e-Compendium of Monitoring Activities of Resource Management Organizations

In June 2009, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was adopted by sixteen local, state, Tribal, and federal agencies or the development and maintenance of a Truckee River Coordinated Monitoring Program (TRCMP). The Group gathered, shared out current efforts, cooperated to find a consistent nomenclature for disparate site naming conventions, researched maps and drafted new site maps for posting to TRIG, delved into nuances of programmatic differences and regulatory drivers calling out different end products. In the end, a much better shared understanding for the watershed was reached, references have been culled and posted, and further efforts in field collaboration are occurring.
